Welcome to DOGTOWN FLY CO.
Born in Venice Beach, we’re built for anglers who fish the fringe — those who chase corbina in the surf at dawn, hike into remote backcountry creeks, or stalk tailing fish on tropical flats. We exist for the ones who push past the usual, who trade drift boats for tide charts and find beauty in the unexpected. This is just the start. Whether you're new to the game or deep in it, Dogtown Fly Co. is here to help you feel confident on the water — wherever you cast, whatever you’re chasing.
We are currently designing a space that feels like the intersection of sand, salt, and street.
The storefront is on the way, with doors set to open late Summer 2026.
Until then, find us online, in the surf, or at local pop-ups.

Where We Fish
From the urban beaches of LA to remote stretches of backcountry water, Dogtown Fly Co. guides in some of the most unique and underrated fisheries around. Whether you’re sight-casting to corbina in the surf, chasing calico bass from a boat, or hiking into wild trout streams in the Sierras, we’ve got you covered. Salt, fresh, near, or far — if it swims, we’ll help you find it.

MEET THE CREW

Trey Finton
Southern California born and bred, Trey grew up with a fly rod in hand and salt in his veins. Summers were spent exploring the coast with his brother on their 18-foot center console, chasing anything that would eat. Over the past 15+ years, he’s fished from the icy rivers of Alaska to the warm bluewater of Mexico and Central America, chasing everything from wild trout, sight fishing corbina to giant pelagics offshore.
His approach is raw, hands-on, and forged by time on the water — not in a classroom. He’s been featured on multiple episodes of Inside Sportfishing and Stoked on Fishing, but his real resume is built on early mornings, long runs, and hard-won lessons in tide, wind, and grit.
Dogtown Fly Co. is Trey’s way of bringing that passion full circle — a shop and brand for anglers who don’t follow the rulebook, who fish hard, and who live for the cast.
